To: Editors, reporters, calendar editors From: Dennis O'Shea Re: Student-organized symposium on international affairs This year's Woodrow Wilson Symposium at The Johns Hopkins University is a three-part series focusing on U.S. involvement in world affairs, and particularly on whether and when the United States should act unilaterally or in conjunction with other nations and with world organizations. The series, titled "America and the World, or America's World?", is organized by undergraduate students. It begins Tuesday, Feb. 14, with a talk by former defense secretary and congressman Les Aspin, a key figure for years in U.S. national security policy. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the speaker is former assistant secretary of state and State Department spokeswoman Margaret Tutwiler. The speaker on Wednesday, March 1, is former director of central intelligence and career CIA officer Robert Gates.
