"Music Speaks" is Topic of Wednesday Noon Series
Eileen Soskin, professor of music theory at the Peabody
Conservatory, and Laurie Hungerford Flint, soprano, will present
a lecture/performance, "Music Speaks: German Lieder and French
Chansons," at Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus on
Wednesday, Oct. 18.In addition to teaching, Dr. Soskin is a lecturer for a number of cultural organizations in Baltimore, including the Handel Choir, the Walters Art Gallery, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She also performs as a mezzo-soprano, a pianist and harpsichordist.
This lecture/performance is part of the Wednesday Noon Series, presented by the Johns Hopkins University Office of Special Events. All programs in the series are held at noon in the Garrett Room of the Eisenhower Library on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles Street in Baltimore. Admission is free.
