The Scat Madrigals to Perform at Hopkins

The Scat Madrigals, a twelve-member vocal ensemble from The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, will perform at the university's Homewood campus on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at noon.

Founded in 1989 as the APL Vocal Jazz Ensemble, the group has grown from its original four co-workers to its present company of 12. Since that time, they have continued to entertain audiences - - most recently at the White House -- with their sophisticated jazz renditions of golden oldies.

This performance is part of the Wednesday Noon Series, presented by the university's Office of Special Events. All programs in the series are held at noon in the Clipper Room of Shriver Hall on the Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. Admission is free.

For information, call the Office of Special Events at (410) 516- 7157.
