Collectors' Series Continues with Print Programs

On Saturday, January 30, The Collectors's Series will continue its programming focusing on prints from 10 a.m. to noon at the Baltimore Museum of Art with a private gallery talk, "The Pious and Profane: Looking at Renaissance Prints," with associate curator Susan Dackerman and featuring 40 prints from the Garrett collection. Assistant paper conservator, Tom Primeau will discuss conservation problems inherent to prints.

The series continues with an afternoon program, "Printmaking at Goya Girl Press," from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. at The Mill Center in Baltimore, with lunch and a demonstration by Martha Macks, president of Goya Girl Press and other master printers. A variety of print media used by Renaissance and contemporary artists alike, as well as more innovative techniques including solar etching will be demonstrated.

Admission to the morning program is $8 for Evergreen members and $10 for non-members; the afternoon program is $20 for Evergreen members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required. For more information or to make reservations, please call 410-516-0341.
