Jones Named to Hopkins Development PostJulian S. Jones, previously vice president for institutional advancement at the University of Maryland University College, has been appointed director of development for the Institute for the Academic Advancement of Youth at The Johns Hopkins University.He will be responsible for fund raising at IAAY, which identifies and provides individualized curricula for academically talented youth. IAAY also conducts research on educational issues. A 1960 graduate of the University of Virginia, Jones received a Ph.D. in 1968 from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He served from 1981 to 1990 as director of the University of Maryland Asian Division in Tokyo.
