Barbara Bowie Wiesel, previously director of leadership gifts and international advancement at Georgetown University, has been appointed associate dean for development at the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of The Johns Hopkins University. The Nitze School, located in Washington, D.C., has branches in Bologna, Italy, and Nanjing, China. Wiesel, who joined Georgetown in 1987 as director of development for the School of Foreign Service, is a 1970 graduate of Skidmore College. She earned master's degree, in 1971, and a doctorate, in 1973, from the University of Pennsylvania.
