International Business Conference Lincoln, Neb., resident Ashlyn Schniederjans, a junior at The Johns Hopkins University, is one of 175 undergraduates participating in Princeton University's Business Today International Conference in at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City Nov. 20 through 23. The annual conference offers juniors and seniors a chance to interact with prominent business and political leaders. Schniederjans, 20, was selected from more than 2,000 applicants. In addition to well-known CEOs, she'll also meet fellow students from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Russia, France, Mexico and Great Britain in addition to students from across the United States. More than 70 business executives and politicians will attend, including the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies like Continental Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, Lower Manhattan Development Corp., PacifiCare Health Systems, FDIC, UPS, Lowes Corp. and New York Times Digital. Business Today magazine is produced by students at Princeton University. It was founded in 1968 by then-students Steve Forbes, Jonathan Perel, and Michael Mims and boasts a readership of more than 250,000. This year's event is the 30th conference to further the organization's goal of bridging the gap between America's current and future business leaders. Schniederjans is majoring in economics. She's the daughter of Marc and Jill Schniederjans and is a graduate of East High School. She's also a co-chair of this year's Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium at Johns Hopkins, an annual student-run lecture series that brings to campus each fall renowned speakers with a variety of perspectives on issues of national importance.
