Spring Fair 2007: April 13, 14 and 15

What The 36th annual Johns Hopkins Spring Fair, featuring:

>> Free admission and free parking.
>> Carnival rides and inflatable games, located behind the Mattin Center near Whitehead Hall.
>> Craft vendors with quality work hand-crafted by artisans from across the nation and other commercial goods such as jewelry, clothing, pottery, glassware, paintings, drawings, collectibles and literature (Keyser Quadrangle, also known as the upper quad).
>> A children s section featuring a literacy program with a reading corner and interactive, hands-on activities based on the theme; and entertainment provided by Johns Hopkins student groups. (Homewood House lawn).
>> Food court boasting a variety of items, ranging from festival standards such as funnel cake and hot dogs, to warm weather favorites such as smoothies and ice cream, as well as other American and ethnic cuisines. (Freshmen Quad).
>> A section hosting Johns Hopkins student organizations and nationally recognized non-profit organizations, providing information and raising money for specific causes (located between the Freshman Quad and Nichols House lawn).
>> Photography contest.
>> Two daytime entertainment stages featuring Baltimore and student bands.
>> Beer Garden featuring five beers on tap provided by Bond Distributing Co.; free entertainment on the Beer Garden stage throughout the weekend (Nichols House lawn).

Special Event Hip-Hop artist Common will perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, in the Ralph S. O'Connor Recreation Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. General admissions tickets for this all- ages show are $20; $10 for JHU students with ID. Information available at www.jhuspringfair.com. Tickets for sale here.
