Re: Carey Business School dedication/installation of dean
What: Yash Gupta will be officially installed as the first dean of Johns Hopkins University's new Carey Business School.
More: Gupta will outline his plans to build a top-tier business school, incorporating a new approach to MBA and other graduate business education. In research, education and everything it does, the new school will emphasize innovation. It will create a curriculum involving not just business disciplines but also the critical thinking that is the hallmark of a broad-based liberal arts education.
When: Friday, April 25, 4:30 p.m.
Where: Shriver Hall Auditorium, Homewood campus, The Johns Hopkins University.
More Details: In an approximately one-hour ceremony, marked by formal academic ritual and regalia, the university will dedicate the new Carey Business School. It will also honor William Polk Carey, the philanthropist who made possible the establishment of the new school. The Baltimore native and trustee emeritus made a $50 million commitment, the largest ever to Johns Hopkins in support of business education. Speakers include university President William R. Brody.
Parking: Available in the university's underground visitors parking deck, the South Garage, at 3101 Wyman Park Drive.
