Dennis O'Shea has been promoted to executive director of communications and public affairs at The Johns Hopkins University.

In his new position, O'Shea will report to President William R. Brody and be responsible for public relations programs in the university's central administration, including media relations, periodicals and publications. He will also be responsible for public service and outreach programs such as radio station WJHU-FM, the Office of Special Events, Theatre Hopkins and the university's historic house museums, Evergreen and Homewood.
