Recent Appointments in Fund-Raising at Johns Hopkins

The following appointments have been announced in the development offices of The Johns Hopkins Institutions.

Michael D. Moyer has been promoted to associate dean of development and alumni relations at the university s Whiting School of Engineering. Previously director of development and alumni relations for the school, he has been with Johns Hopkins for 19 years. Moyer graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1979 and earned a master of liberal arts degree from Johns Hopkins in 1991.

Patrick O'Neall, a 15-year fund-raising veteran, has been appointed director of development for the Sheridan Libraries at the university. Previously he was director of development and alumni relations for the School of Nursing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. O'Neall is a 1975 graduate of Butler University and received a master of arts degree in arts administration from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1977.

Marcia Lee Boyle, who has served as director of development at Johns Hopkins' Wilmer Eye Institute since 1992, has been named director of principal gifts for the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine. A 1970 graduate of Skidmore College, Boyle earned a master of science degree from the School of Library Science at Columbia University in 1975. She has also pursued graduate work in American studies at the George Washington University.

Ellen Keats Stifler has been named director of principal gifts for divisional programs at The Johns Hopkins University. She came to Hopkins in 1990 and most recently was director of development for psychiatry and clinical neurosciences at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Previously, she served as director of development for the Eisenhower Library. Stifler is a 1974 graduate of Wellesley College.
