Farrell Promoted at Johns Hopkins Real Estate

Nicholas J. Farrell has been promoted to senior director of design and construction in the Office of Johns Hopkins Real Estate.

Farrell has been affiliated with Johns Hopkins since August 1994. As director of construction, he has been responsible for the renovation of Baltimore's Eastern High School into the Johns Hopkins at Eastern office building. He also has been responsible for projects at the Triad Technology Center laboratories, the Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union branch at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus and numerous other locations around the Johns Hopkins Institutions.

Farrell graduated with a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore in 1978 and continued his education with advanced studies in construction management. Prior to his Johns Hopkins employment, Farrell worked in the construction industry for John H. Hampshire Inc. and Henry J. Knott Development Corp.

Farrell will continue to oversee the design and construction of projects for Johns Hopkins Real Estate, which provides services to both The Johns Hopkins University and The Johns Hopkins Health System. Current projects include Baltimore Development Corp. space at Johns Hopkins at Eastern, the renovation of the Mason F. Lord Center Tower at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus, tenant improvements at Bond Street Wharf and 100 N. Charles St. in Baltimore and the planned third building at the university's Montgomery County Campus.
