The TTL Chip

Below are a schematic diagram and a photo of the 14-pin TTL chip that you will use to construct the circuit. Each chip contains 4 NAND gates. Connections to these gates are made via the external pins, so it is important to note which pins constitute the inputs and outputs to each gate.

The Prototype Board

For construction of temporary circuits, a prototype board is often used as it eliminates the need for soldering and wire connectors. Wires are inserted into the appropriate slots to form the necessary connections.
