Search Plans Are Under Way For Next Director of APL

A staff and faculty advisory committee has been appointed by President William R. Brody to assist in the search for the next director of the Applied Physics Laboratory.

They are, from APL, Wayne Bryden, Harry Charles, Richard Constantine, Jerry Krill, Stamatios Krimigis, Vincent Pisacane and Daniel Tyler; from the School of Medicine, Richard Johns; from the Whiting School of Engineering, Ilene Busch-Vishniac and Roger Westgate; and, from the university administration, Stephanie Reel, chief information officer, and Vice Provost Theodore Poehler. The committee is chaired by Provost Steven Knapp. The university will be assisted by the executive search firm Heidrick and Struggles.
