SOM Discontinues Daily Job Postings on Most Boards

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Effective May 1, School of Medicine Human Resources will discontinue posting daily job opportunities on the posting boards with the exception of those in the following locations: Human Resources Office, Wood Basic Science Building and Traylor Building. The Wood and Traylor boards will continue to be utilized for displaying union employment opportunities only.

University-wide employment opportunities can be found on Human Resources' Web site, which is updated daily. It can be accessed through http://www.jhu.edu/www/admin.

During the first seven days of posting, viewing is restricted to internal JHU computer accounts. External ISPs, such as Erols and AOL, can access the information on the eighth day.

For those employees without access to a computer, the Human Resources Office will continue to maintain job opportunity books in Suite 2-100, 1830 Building, for School of Medicine vacancies. In addition, a dedicated private area with a computer workstation is available for reviewing university-wide job opportunities.

A list of selected employment opportunities will continue to appear in The Gazette.

After May 1, the job postings boards will be used to communicate other Human Resources news and information.
