Student Funding Available -- Two funding programs are available through the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association.

The Community Service Grant Program supports valuable volunteer experiences for students and is intended to foster good relationships between the university and its surrounding communities. The program supports students who design their own service projects or create ventures within existing volunteer organizations. Projects receiving academic credit are not eligible.

The Student Services Funding Program promotes the student experience at Johns Hopkins by providing funding to student groups for campus events, programs and activities that benefit and involve students from all university divisions.

Both programs are open to undergraduate and graduate students. Applications are available at divisional alumni offices, the Office of Volunteer Services in Levering Union, the Office of Alumni Relations at 3211 N. Charles St. or online at http://www.jhu.edu/~alumni. Applications for spring 2000 grants are due Dec. 1. For more information, call Rebecca Barnes at 410-516-0363.
