Career Option Workshop -- The Counseling and Student Development Center will host an interactive workshop for students interested in exploring various career options. The workshop assists students by helping them clarify their interests, strengths, skills and work values. The group will met on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Call for Volunteers -- Over 100 volunteers will join in a one-day community service project for "Make a Difference Day," Saturday, Oct. 23.

The project will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Catholic Charities/Stella Maris complex at 2300 Dulaney Valley Road. Individuals will have the opportunity to volunteer at one of three sites that include Villa Maria School, the Gallagher Center and St. Vincent's Center.

Tasks will include painting outdoor walls, doors and murals (if artists are available); weeding, mulching and planting flowers to improve nature trails and surrounding grounds; and building picnic tables and benches.

The event will take place rain or shine. Registration will be held at a central site on the Stella Maris campus. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
