SPSBE Names Director Of Business Medical Programs

Douglas E. Hough has been named an assistant professor and director of Business Medical Programs in the School of Professional Studies in Business and Education. Hough, a former director of Arista Associates, a nationwide consulting firm, is the author of Developing a Managed Care Business Plan and numerous articles on the business of medicine for professional health care journals. He will oversee the MBA/Medical Services Management program, which offers a joint degree with the School of Medicine, and the Master of Science in Nursing Care and Health Systems Specialist/MBA, which is a joint degree offered with the School of Nursing.

Hough received his doctorate in economics from the University of Wisconsin after graduating from MIT.
