Peace and Music

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

From poodle skirts to tie-dies, the annual Oldies But Goodies Dance was once again the scene of a fashion flashback.

More than 110 Hopkins staff, faculty and friends danced the night away at the Nov. 17 event, which benefited the 2000 United Way Campaign. Held at Levering Hall's Glass Pavilion, the event featured tunes from the 1950s to the 1990s, a group conga line and many door prizes.

The party, which began at 5 p.m, simmered down by 11 p.m., but not before a rousing version of "YMCA" got everyone to their feet.
