A set of new wheels
|
|
When Elizabeth Nowell, marketing coordinator at historic
Evergreen House, needed a new wheelchair for disabled visitors,
she looked to the museum's friends in East Baltimore. The School
of Nursing, the hospital's Patient Transport Department and
Ronald Peterson, JHHS president, all assisted in procuring the
vehicle for Evergreen. Nowell, photographed at right with Linda
Proctor, JHH patient transport supervisor, said the chair was
needed because the house's historic elevator is too small to
accommodate today's motorized wheelchairs.
