Thirty Reasons to Make Your United Way Pledge Now

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Any one of these might have your name on it, come Nov. 7: A Ravens jersey autographed by Shannon Sharpe or Elvis Grbac, a handcrafted quilt, lunch for two at Da Mimmo, a $50 gift certificate for the Brass Elephant, a packet of passes to the BMA, the Walters, the Senator, Peabody concerts, the BSO, Center Stage, the zoo ... well, you get the picture.

The prizes add up to 30 chances to win in the 2001 United Way Lottery Drawing, which will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, during the Flea Market fund-raiser in Homewood's Glass Pavilion.

To be eligible for the lottery, pledges or contributions of $35 or more from university employees or retirees must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the location on your pre-addressed JHU or JHM campaign pledge envelope, or at the office of the JHU United Way Administrator, Evergreen House, 3rd floor, 4545 N. Charles St.

Special kudos go to the School of Medicine for reaching 80 percent of its goal within the first two weeks of the United Way Campaign.
