Hopkins Gospel Choir Celebrates Anniversary with Free Concert

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Unified Voices, JHMI's own gospel choir, will celebrate its seventh anniversary with a free concert to be held at 7 p.m. on June 15 in Hurd Hall, JHMI campus.

Rev. "Lady" Esther Ford, a celebrated gospel singer and author of the religious musical Crossroads of Life, will headline the event and be joined on stage by the Unified Voices. Radio personality Sasha, from Magic 95.9 FM, will emcee the performance.

Founded in 1994, Unified Voices currently has an active membership of 50, comprised of Hopkins staff, faculty and administration, plus community members. The group performs concerts year-round, at both university-related and community events, including those held at area churches, homeless shelters and nursing homes.

Following the concert, a reception will be held in the doctor's dining room. For more information, call 410-955-8888.
