Hillel Passover Meals -- Hopkins Hillel is offering Passover meals at JHU from March 29 through April 4. Dinners are $12 and lunches are $10 and can be purchased in advance through Hillel, or at the door. All meals will be held in the Terrace Court dining hall. Yoga Classes -- The Department of Occupational Health Services is offering yoga classes for JHU faculty and staff, Mondays and Wednesdays, from March 18 through May 22, from noon to 1 p.m.

The classes will be held at the Mattin Center on the Homewood campus. Cost is $30 for one class per week per 10-week session or $50 for two classes a week per 10-week session. For information, call 410-516-0450.


Free Workshop for Data Users -- Hopkins data users are invited to attend a free workshop, "Using the Current Population Survey," on Thursday, March 14, in the Milton S. Eisenhower Library on the Homewood campus.

Attendees will learn about the survey from experts at the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Census Bureau, and from Robert Moffitt, winner of an NIH MERIT Award. Attendees will participate in exercises downloading and/or extracting data and creating tables. Lunch is included. Advance registration is required. The workshop is limited to 36 participants. Maryland Spinal Cord Injury Research Grants Program -- The State Board of Spinal Cord Injury Research is seeking proposals that can be translated into direct therapeutic benefits, particularly involving research focused on basic, preclinical and clinical research to restore neurological function in individuals with spinal cord injuries.

Award amount and duration are up to $300,000 in direct costs and indirect costs for up to three years based on merit and board approval. Independent investigators and ethnic minorities are encouraged to apply. The deadline for application is June 3.
