Interpreters Needed

Greek, Hebrew and Turkish speakers are needed as on-call interpretators for hospital patients. Applicants for these part-time jobs must have flexible schedules; e-mail resumes to cgoad2@jhmi.edu.

 

Undergraduate Study Abroad at the Villa Spelman

An informational meeting for JHU undergraduates interested in studying abroad at the Villa Spelman in Florence, Italy, will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, in 111 Mergenthaler. For more information, e-mail Mary McDonough at mmcdonough@jhu.edu.

 

Human Resources Online

Through Human Resources Web pages, employees can review job openings and/or initiate a resignation from the university.

To review staff job opportunities or submit an application for an advertised job, go to job.jhu.edu.

For a user-friendly Web-based resignation process that provides the most efficient procedure for submitting an electronic notice of voluntary resignation, go to resigning. jhu.edu. Users may also express their opinions about their experiences at the university by completing a confidential departure survey and by requesting an in-person exit interview with a human resources representative. For more information, contact your divisional human resources office.

 

Alumni Association Student Grants

The Alumni Association has grant money available for community service and student services projects. The Community Service Grant Program provides volunteer experiences for students and fosters relationships between the university and its surrounding communities. The Student Services Grants Program promotes the overall student experience on campus. Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Community Service Grants for undergraduate projects are capped at $1,200; graduate student projects at $1,600. Student Services Grants have maximum funding of $1,500.
