Crazy for Chili? JHU Wants You

We're on our way: The Johns Hopkins United Way campaign
kicked off in September, and to date, $992,194 has been
raised toward the combined goal of $2,382,100. Kudos to the
School of Medicine for already reaching 49 percent of its
goal. |
You've been bragging that you make the best chili, so
prove it. Enter the 1st Annual Hopkins Chili Cook-Off, to
be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13,
in Homewood's Glass Pavilion. To sweeten the pot, the chili
cook-off also will include a bake-off for cookies and
cakes.
Entries are $10 each, and you can enter as a group or
individual. Spectators will be able to sample the chili and
baked goods (while they last!) and purchase lunch for $4,
which includes chili, corn bread, dessert and beverage. All
proceeds benefit the Johns Hopkins University United Way
Campaign.
To register, go online to
www.jhu.edu/unitedway.
Trophies and ribbons will be distributed to the
top-three winners in each category. Any questions, call
Adrienne Gilchrist at 410-516-7188.
