Celebrating Campus Community
About 1,500 students, staff and faculty jumpstarted
Homewood's inaugural Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 1, with
a cookout on the Beach.
Organized by a team of students and staff, Fall
Festival brought together faculty, students and staff for a
weekend to celebrate campus community.
Events included a scavenger hunt across Homewood and
Charles Village, a student imitation of The Dating Game, a
variety show featuring a suspenders-wearing President
William R. Brody and Peabody Director Robert Sirota in a
vaudeville-like comedic piano skit and, to wrap it up, a 2
a.m. Sunday breakfast.
"We want people to say, 'I love Hopkins,'" said Ralph
Johnson, associate dean of student life and director of the
festival.
