United Way Update
Johns Hopkins Institutions
Participation average: 30 percent this week
Our participation rate in the
United Way
campaign may not have changed last week, but the dollars
raised are over the top. For 2004, the Johns Hopkins
Institutions have now raised more than $2.5 million,
exceeding the goal of $2,475,195. Your dollars have helped
make a difference in the community. For example: Within
five months of admission to Marian House, 75 percent of
women who were once homeless and addicted have gone on a
job interview, 98 percent of people who participate in the
Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. are still employed
six months after completing the program, and the Arc of
Baltimore helped 465 people with disabilities find jobs.
Thank you for making a difference!
