Beth Ann Felder, former chief counsel with the Republican staff of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, has joined the Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs as director of federal relations for the Johns Hopkins Institutions.

She will represent the university and health system in Washington on both legislative and executive branch matters, focusing on federal budget and appropriations issues as well as other areas of concern.

Felder became GOP chief counsel on the Budget Committee staff in 1996 after nearly four years as second assistant parliamentarian in the Senate's Office of the Parliamentarian.
