Butterball Turkey Program
A $15 donation to the Vernon Rice Memorial Butterball
Turkey Program will purchase a Butterball gift certificate
to help a family buy a turkey or other food items for the
holiday season.
To participate, mail a $15 check, made payable to JHU
Butterball, to JHU Butterball,

Adopt a Family or Agency for the
Holidays
Through the Adopt-a-Family and Adopt-an-Agency Program,
individuals and departments can help provide gifts,
clothing and food to people who might not otherwise receive
or be able to afford them.
The
Office of Faculty, Staff and Retiree Programs runs the
program in cooperation with the Baltimore City Department
of Social Services, which identifies families and nonprofit
agencies that need assistance. Among the agencies are House
of Ruth, Family and Children's Services and Chrysalis
House.
The Adopt-a-Family request form can be found online at

Printed Directory Deadlines
The 2005 edition of the Johns Hopkins Institutions
Directory for faculty and staff will be published soon, and
Telecommunications needs all changes to be submitted by
Wednesday, Nov. 24.
For changes in individual listings: Use your JHED
login ID and password to log onto the Printed Directory
Manager at
PrintedDirectory.johnshopkins.edu.

For changes in the department listings, which are the
first 128 pages of the directory: Make a copy of the page
or pages in the 2004 paper directory, mark changes on the

Changes received after the Nov. 24 deadline may not be
included.
Classes for JHU Faculty and Staff
The Office of
Benefits Administration, in conjunction with
Occupational Health Services, is offering the following
classes to JHU faculty and staff:
Yoga classes at Homewood, all levels, five-week
session, noon to 1 p.m., Mondays/Wednesdays, begins Nov.
22, $15/$25 (once/twice a week).
Seated massages by certified therapists on the
Homewood, Montgomery County, East Baltimore and Eastern
campuses, 15 minutes, $10.
Muscle conditioning and toning class at
Homewood, 12:15 to 1, Tuesday/Thursday, 10-week session,
$25/$45 (once/twice a week).
Weight Watchers at Work, Homewood and East
Baltimore campuses, 14-week noontime session starting in
early January, $148.
