Fair Days Ahead: Spring Forecast Sees Three Days of Food, Fun and Games

Carnival rides, crafts vendors, children's entertainment and lots and lots of food — they'll all be back at Homewood this weekend, when the annual Spring Fair returns for its 33rd run. Also on tap are the perennial beer garden, a photography contest and free live music on two daytime stages.

Scheduled bands are the Silent Groove, Kenen, the Swingin' Swamis, Snoozebox and O'Malley's March, fronted by Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley, which will play from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, on the Shriver Stage.

Guster performs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at the O'Connor Recreation Center; tickets are $17 through Music Today at www.jhuspringfair.musictoday.com or $1 with the Hopkins Entertainment Pass; $7 for all other JHU students with ID.

Hours for the fair, which will be on the upper and lower quads, are noon to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
