The Johns Hopkins Materials Science Research
Symposium, scheduled for Friday, April 15, will showcase
studies being conducted by senior graduate students and
postdoctoral fellows. Research topics will range from
nanotubes and metallic glass to drug delivery and tissue
engineering. Participating students and fellows will also
have a chance to meet potential employers from industry and
national laboratories.
The event begins with a check-in and continental
breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. in 110 Hodson Hall on the
Homewood campus
Following opening remarks at 9 a.m. by Nicholas Jones,

keynote address, titled "The Materials Revolution: Enabling
Product Innovation."
After a coffee break, two graduate students and a
postdoctoral fellow will give presentations about their
research.
After lunch at noon in the Glass Pavilion,
participants will return to 110 Hodson at 1 p.m. to hear
