Proposals for Diversity Conference
The Diversity Leadership Council's second annual Diversity
Conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 1,
and proposals for discussion subjects are now being sought.
During the event, administrators, faculty and staff will
examine critical questions related to diversity, cultural
awareness, inclusion and equity in postsecondary
education.
Possible topic areas include recruiting and retaining
diverse faculty, creating an inclusive environment, the
multigenereational workplace and leadership development.
Proposals must be submitted before Sept. 15. For
information about proposal packets and the conference

Fundamentals for the Research
Coordinator
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the core
competencies needed to administer and direct human subject
research projects. Topics include IRB, recruiting, data
management, informed consent and study administration.
The fall offerings include a three-day course,
scheduled for Oct. 5 to 7 at the School of Nursing, and an
online course, scheduled for Oct. 21 through Dec. 16.
Participants must take the free course Introduction to
Online Learning prior to the start of the Fundamentals for
the Research Coordinator online course.
