School of Medicine Staff Members Honored for
Service
The university honored 597 School of Medicine staff
members with five, 10 and 15 years of service at a
recognition reception on March 15 in the Turner Concourse.
In a brief presentation, JHM dean and CEO Edward Miller
thanked the more than 300 attendees for being an integral
part of training new doctors, discovering new cures and
developing Hopkins as it exists today.
Division and department heads presented awards and
personally thanked the honorees for their dedication. The
106 staff members with 15 years of service received a
Regency cherry wood clock with the Johns Hopkins logo in
gold, 152 staff members with 10 years of service received a
lead crystal paperweight inscribed with the Johns Hopkins
logo, and 339 staff members with five years of service
received pewter key rings engraved with the Hopkins
seal.
Six more recognition events and one dinner are planned
for the spring, in what is now an annual Hopkins tradition,
to honor retiring staff members and those celebrating
significant service anniversaries.
