Johns Hopkins Day at Six Flags

Join your co-workers and bring your family and friends on Saturday, June 10, for a day of fun at the third Johns Hopkins Day at Six Flags America in Largo, Md. Specially priced tickets are $20 for adults and children 4 and older; free for 3 and under. Parking is $7 per vehicle, and food vouchers are available for $8 per meal for selected meals from park vendors. (Admission is regularly $49.99 and daily parking, $15.)

The discounted tickets, available to all staff of the Johns Hopkins Institutions, can be upgraded on the day of your visit to a season pass for $32.99. Admission, parking tickets and food vouchers must be purchased by June 5.

Six Flags is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the Six Flags' Hurricane Harbor Water Park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For other park information, go to Sixflags .com or call 301-249-1500.

Parkinson's Support Group

The Baltimore County Parkinson's Disease Education and Support Group meets the second Thursday of every month, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Johns Hopkins at Green Spring Station's Pavilion II (go through the Cafe). Upcoming meetings are scheduled for May 11 and June 29.

Led by a trained facilitator, meetings offer educational seminars on such topics as research updates, treatment options, coping skills, alternative therapies, and diet and exercise information.
