Back-to-Back Art Events

A Faculty Exhibition is one of two back-to-back events sponsored this week by the Homewood Art Workshops and Homewood Arts Programs. Drawings, paintings, photographs, cartoons, sculpture and dioramas by Art Workshops instructors D.S. Bakker, Phyllis Berger, Corinne May Botz, Tom Chalkley, Barbara Gruber, Craig Hankin, Cara Ober, Larcia Premo and Jay VanRensselaer will be on display, along with work by guest artists Andrew Cole, Joan Freedman and Leslye James of the Digital Media Center.

Also this week, Neil Riley, known for his keenly observed New England landscapes and his brooding, intimately scaled interiors, will present a slide talk. Riley's work belongs to a painterly tradition that includes such artists as Edouard Vuillard, Gwen John, Fairfield Porter and Giorgio Morandi. See Special Events.

Symposia

The event will also include art displays and performances by community groups and youth, and an expert community panel moderated by Marc Steiner of WYPR.
