Support Project Plase

The JHU Women's Network is supporting Project Plase by collecting new or unopened toiletries — such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shaving cream, lotion, razors, mouthwash, Q-tips, sanitary products and baby supplies — through April 28 at various locations on all Hopkins campuses. HSA Employee Recognition Award

Nominations are invited for the Homewood Student Affairs "Above and Beyond the Call" Employee Recognition Award, which acknowledges exceptional employee performance. Nominators and nominees must work in the Homewood Student Affairs division, and nominees must have completed at least one year of continuous employment at the time of nomination. The first-place winner will receive $500, a desktop award and certificate of recognition. Deadline for nominations is July 15. For more information, call Alicia Grogan, 410-516-8726.

 

East Baltimore Softball Season

Registration is now open for the co-ed Intramural Summer Softball League that plays Monday or Wednesday evenings at the Joseph Lee Fields, near the Bayview campus. The league is open to all students, staff and faculty of the schools of Medicine and Public Health, the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. The deadline for registration is Monday, May 1.

Registration applications are available at the Cooley Center front desk (in a box) or outside B-190 Meyer. The team registration fee of $326 covers administration costs, field reservation and field maintenance. Further details and specific league rules are included in the reservation packet. Wellness for JHU Faculty and Staff

The Office of Benefits Administration and Occupational Health Services are offering Weight Watchers at Work to faculty and staff. A 12-week session will begin May 1 on the Homewood campus. The class will meet at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $124. Classes will also meet on the East Baltimore and Eastern campuses.
