Radiation Oncology Silent Auction
The Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular
Radiation Sciences is seeking donations for a silent
auction to benefit the Radiation Oncology Patient Services
Program. Proceeds from the event, to be held from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the
Weinberg Auditorium, will provide special activities and
additional resources for patients.
Merchants, hotels and other businesses could provide
vacation packages, tax preparations, lawn
service and other items of interest. Gifts from private
individuals are welcome as well.
Those interested in donating or who know of anyone
willing to do so should contact Karen Vleck,
Marian Richardson or Jeff Schultz at 410-955-6980.
Homewood Arts Innovation Grants
Grants are now available for Homewood faculty and students
through the Arts Innovation Grants Program.
The initiative, introduced in May, is designed to help
faculty develop undergraduate
interdisciplinary (across departments, divisions or
institutions) courses that create new educational
opportunities in the arts for Homewood students, and to
help undergraduates create new co-curricular
activities in the arts or significantly increase the impact
of existing ones within both the university
and Baltimore communities. The deadline for submitting
proposals is Wednesday, Oct. 3.
