Saddle up the spoons and break out the baking pans for
the sixth annual Chili Cook-Off and
Bake-Off to benefit the Johns Hopkins campaign for United
Way of Central Maryland and the Johns
Hopkins Neighborhood Fund.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on
Friday, Nov. 7, in the Glass Pavilion at
Homewood.
Both chili and baked goods can be entered, and there
is no entry fee. Judges will award first-,
second- and third-place prizes. Plus, new this year: A
People's Choice award will be given out in each
category, based on the popular vote.
Spectators will be able to sample the chili and baked
items, while they last, and to purchase
lunch--chili, cornbread, dessert and a beverage--for $5.
All proceeds benefit United Way of Central Maryland
and the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood
Fund. To register, contact Jacklyn Coe at jcoe@jhu.edu or
