More than 100 registered participants stopped by the lawn
south of Homewood's Mason Hall on
Friday, May 15, to help celebrate Bike to Work Day 2009.
Johns Hopkins was a co-sponsor of the
event for the first time this year, partnering with the
Baltimore Metropolitan Council to promote the
sustainability, reliability and health and community
benefits of bike commuting. Cyclists collected free
T-shirts and other giveaways while fueling up on some light
refreshments before rolling on to their
next destination.
