Security Alert

     Homewood campus:  At 11:45 p.m. on April 27, a woman walking
south in the 3200 block of N. Charles Street. was approached by a
man who exposed himself and then walked past her. The victim
described the male as 24 to 26 years old, about 6 feet tall and
170 to 180 pounds with shoulder-length blond hair.

     At 3:30 a.m. on April 28, a male described as between 5 feet
8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and of medium build,
approached a victim at 2816 N. Calvert St. The assailant kept his
hand under a newspaper as if armed with a weapon and demanded
money. He struck the victim in the face and fled on foot south on
Calvert Street.

     At approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 29, a victim walking
east on the south side of 33rd Street was followed by three of
six males he had passed sitting on a wall at the 7-11 store at
the corner of 33rd and Barclay streets. One of the males who had
followed him struck the victim in the face with his fist. The
victim fell to the ground, and one of the males grabbed a
videotape from him, after which all the assailants ran in an
unknown direction. The victim sustained minor injuries.

     Between 1 and 1:30 a.m. on May 2, a student walking south on
Charles Street near the unit block of 33rd Street was approached
from behind by a man described as between 20 and 25 years old and
approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. The male pushed the student
against a car, demanded his wallet, instructed the victim to turn
around, and then removed a pair of sunglasses from his backpack.
The male then walked south on Charles Street. The student was not
injured.

     At 8:52 p.m. on April 30, three juveniles inside Levering
Hall distracted a student monitor and took her purse. The
juveniles were chased to St. Paul Street. and apprehended there
by campus officers, who turned them over to the Baltimore police.
