Counseling for Students Available

The Counseling and Student Development Center sponsors
several different programs for Homewood, Nursing and Peabody
students:

The Parent Loss Group is an eight-week support group for
students who have experienced the death of a parent, whether
recent or long ago. The group is tentatively scheduled for
Thursday afternoons, beginning in mid-February. For information,
call Elizabeth Beil or Anu Sharma at 516-8278.

The Support Group for Graduate Women on Monday afternoons
will allow graduate women students to share accomplishments and
frustrations, offer encouragement and support, and discuss ways
to cope. For information, call the Counseling Center at 516-8278.

Finding Your Voice: Speaking Up and Facing Conflict is
designed for students who avoid confrontations and have
difficulty expressing their anger in words. For information, call
Vivian Tamburello, 516-8278.

A Self-Esteem Support Group for Nursing Students has been
formed to help students who may feel overwhelmed by the demands
of a rigorous training program. For information, call Vivian
Tamburello, at 516-8278.
