Corporate Security Services at JHMI advise all personnel of an apparent fraudulent letter of solicitation that has been mailed to numerous locations on the East Baltimore campus.

The letter is from an individual who identifies himself as Mr. A. Al-Hakim from Lagos, Nigeria. The letter requests the receiver to supply their full name and address, bank name, address, telephone and fax number, as well as their account numbers and name of beneficiary. In return for the information, Al-Hakim promises to share $25 million in unclaimed Nigerian funds. The letter is an apparent hoax and should be disregarded by anyone receiving it.
