Dehontshihgwa'es--the well-known sculpture outside the
Lacrosse
Museum and National Hall of Fame--sprang to life Wednesday
night
as U.S. Lacrosse, the sport's governing body, welcomed the world
lacrosse games to Hopkins' Homewood Field. The bronze work, by
Maine sculptor Jud Hartman, honors the game's North American
Indian roots.
