JHMSC Scores High in Accreditation Survey

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corporation, the organization providing primary outpatient health care through 18 medical facilities in Maryland, earned a nearly perfect score of 99 out of 100 from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations during its most recent survey.

Conducted in June, the review covered everything from placement of fire extinguishers to patients' rights and gave JHMSC "accreditation with commendation," the highest level offered.

JCAHO reviews member health care organizations every three years as part of its accreditation process.
