Young patient admires the gingerbread cathedral created for the Children's Center by culinary students at Baltimore International College. On Dec. 4, chef instructor Joe Janowich, center, and one of his students, Tom Lodge, treated pediatric inpatients to a demonstration of the culinary and architectural techniques that had been used to create the confection's flying buttresses and its "stained glass" windows of melted Lifesavers. The cathedral is on display in the center's Zoo Lobby through Jan. 2.
