Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

JHU-wide Outreach Event This is an educational outreach event to show young girls what being an engineering is like! Ilene Busch Vishniac Lecture

This event is not just limited to female engineers – all are welcome! The speaker will be Emilie C.S. Hudson. Ms. Hudson graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 1995 with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and from Texas A&M University in 2007 with an MEng in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Board positions include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster, Community Outreach Officer, Public Relations Chair, and Networking Chair. Any member in good standing can run for a position, except for President which is limited to a member currently on the board. You can run for as many positions as you would like, and each candidate will be given an opportunity to speak about why they want the position and their qualifications. Engineering Your Future: Turning Your Education into a Way of Life

Emily is a Senior Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, a Technology and Management Consulting Company based out of Washington DC, adn works on biodefense and program management support for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate's Chemical and Biological Defense Division. She graduated from Duke University in 2001 majoring in BME and minoring in Mathematics. Currently she is enrolled in Duke University's Masters of Engineering Management Program and will graduate May of 2012. At this event, she will be answering student questions about life after undergrad, whether it be a graduate school track or straight to industry, so come with lots of questions! Refreshments will be served!
