Welcome

Welcome to my personal research website. I am currently a associate research professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, and working with Prof. Gretar Tryggvason on the numerical simulation of multiphase flows with the front tracking method.

I am interested on research areas such as multiphase flows, turbulent flows, transport of particles in fluid flows, compressible flows, heat transfer, numerical modeling, and high performance parallel computing and scientific computation.

My research focuses on numerical simulations of multiphase flow and mass and heat transfer, both on developing new numerical methodology and applying numerical modeling to a variety of physical problems. As a key researcher, I devoted myself to a lot of research projects and have made substantial progress, such as discovering the effect of bubbles’ deformation on microbubbles induced drag reduction, a simple fluid structure for vertical channel bubbly flows, and several others.
