Farewell to the class of 2004
More than 5,800 newly minted grads join the ranks of JHU
alumni
On a day that began short on Fahrenheit degrees, thousands
of the academic variety were conferred May 20 upon Johns
Hopkins' Class of 2004. It was also a day when comedian
Bill Cosby and thousands of chirping cicadas held center
stage on the Homewood campus.

Special ceremony is a hit with baseball
team
Twelve members of the top-ranked Blue Jays
baseball team closed out their undergraduate careers in
style on Tuesday as the university came to bat for a group
of seniors with a graduation day conflict.

Oxygen may improve vision worsened by
diabetes
Oxygen delivered through the nose may improve poor
vision caused by diabetic macular edema, fluid buildup in
the part of the eye responsible for central vision,
according to a pilot study by scientists at Johns Hopkins
and the National Eye Institute.
