Cleaning Up for Charity

Johns Hopkins Gazette Online Edition

Some university departments have wielded hammers and saws. Others have used their academic and business skills as teaching tools. But the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences' Development and Alumni Relations Office may have been the first to turn to soap and water for their part in the university's 125 Ways of Caring program.

A flurry of "Charity Car Wash" fliers brought 36 dirty cars their way on July 12, along with $413 in donations earmarked for the House of Ruth.

Among the clean-up crew: R. Wayne Brown, Angela Paik Schaeffer, Sheila Love, John Cook, Jill Paulson, Andrea Jones, Dan Flynn, Lea Williams, Tasha Rijke, Bill "Fitz" Fitzgerald, Vickie Schingeck, Kristin Hamilton, Christie Hyman, Paula Ferris Einaudi, Elayna Giordano-Murphy, Bill Kotti and Fiona Yung.
