Noting John Haus

John Haus is the only person in history to win an NCAA lacrosse title as a player (won two at North Carolina in 1981 and 1982) and a head coach (guided Washington College to the 1998 NCAA III title). Since 1971, 26 coaches have combined to win all 61 NCAA Lacrosse Championships (NCAA I, II, and III) that have been awarded, but only John Haus is the only individual among the 26 to also have won a title as a player.

Including his time as a player and coach, John Haus has been involved in college lacrosse for a total of 15 years (listed year-by-year below with special team and individual notes included). In that time, teams he has played for or coached (head coach or assistant) have posted a cumulative record of 152-56 (.768), won three NCAA Championships, played in six NCAA Championship games, advanced to the NCAA Semifinals 11 times, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament 14 times.
